Artwork Guidelines

We Turn Your Vision Into Reality

We’re here to bring your branding vision to life, starting with high-quality, custom artwork.

We offer FREE artwork layout & proof with every order to ensure you get the most dynamic and professional result possible. To keep things running smoothly, please follow our artwork guidelines when submitting your design.

Colour

  • To ensure colour accuracy, please provide your Pantone Solid Coated colour codes. We cannot guarantee colour matching without them and cannot be held liable if you skip this step. Think of Pantone as your colour GPS – it keeps us on the right track.
  • It’s important to remember that colours can vary from product to product, even with the same file. That’s why Pantone is your best friend!
  • We don’t play well with CMYK or RGB values. If you supply artwork in these formats, we’ll need a signed-off printed sample or written confirmation that you’re happy for us to proceed without colour matching.
  • Unfortunately, our digital printers can’t handle metallic or fluorescent colours.

Images

  • We can’t accept images copied from websites because they’re usually low-res and will look pixelated and of bad quality when printed.
  • Flat images (like .jpgs) need at least 300 dpi in actual size. Low-resolution images will turn into pixelated disasters, and we cannot be held liable for that.
  • We also have no control over adjusting the colour of flat images. What you send is what you get, so choose wisely!

Vectors & Fonts

  • Vector artwork fonts need to be converted to paths, curves, or outlines. Alternatively, please send us the font files to work with.
  • To avoid any line-shifting issues, please lock your lines in vector artwork.

Please send your artwork in one of these formats

  • Corel Draw (.cdr)
  • Adobe Illustrator (.ai)
  • Encapsulated PostScript File (.eps)
  • Portable Document File (.pdf)

Please avoid Microsoft Word/Excel (.doc, .docx, .xls) as they’re not print-friendly.

Accepted image formats include:

  • Tagged Image File (.tif, .tiff)
  • Photoshop Document (.psd)
  • Joint Photographic Experts Group (.jpg, .jpeg)
  • Portable Network Graphics (.png)

Important to note:

  • Quality is file-specific. If your image is not high quality, we might need to recreate it (at an extra cost) to make it print-perfect.
  • Once your artwork is finalised according to our guidelines, simply send it to us. We’ll create a free layout/proof for your approval before production begins. Terms & conditions apply.
  • Once your layout is approved and full payment is received, we’ll begin production on your order. As soon as it’s complete, we’ll notify you that your order is ready for collection from our offices.
If you're unsure about anything, our friendly team at Gazebos and Flags is here to help - just give us a call, and we'll guide you every step of the way.
